Tuskers return to Bulawayo without celebrated West Indies all-rounder Chris Gayle and Englishman Thomas Smith who were in the squad that played in the Stanbic Twenty20 competition.
The duo signed only for the tournament that ended in Harare last week.
Staddon revealed that they had signed Sean Ervine, brother to Tuskers and national team player Craig.
Sean who is off-season from County Cricket joins pace bowler Glen Querl on the pay-as-you-earn contract.
Impressive spin bowler John Nyumbu who missed the Twenty20 competition is likely to return into the team but will have to compete for a start.
Tuskers have a good bowling attack that has man-of-the-moment Njabulo Ncube, Christopher Mpofu and Querl.
Keith Dabengwa, Gavin Ewing, Steven Trenchard, Keegan Meth, Adam Wheater, Paul Horton and Craig are expected to lead Tuskers’ batting attack.
On the other hand, Mountaineers will bank on the Masakadza brothers Hamilton and Shingirai, Timycen Maruma, Tino Mawoyo and former national team skipper Prosper Utseya, among others to lead them to victory.
Meanwhile, the Tuskers B team will travel to Mutare to face Mountaineers reserve side.
The Tuskers team captained by Dumisani Mankunzini will then wrap the year with the Gweru tour to where they will meet Midwest Rhinos.
