TOWERING Warriors defender and former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back Teenage “Manero” Hadebe on Monday honoured his promise to gift businessman Pedzisayi Scott Sakupwanya a Lionel Messi jersey he received after an MLS playoff match in the United States.

Hadebe, who now turns out for FC Cincinnati, faced Inter Miami recently in the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Eastern Conference semi-finals.

Although Cincinnati’s campaign ended with a heavy 4–0 defeat, the Zimbabwean defender walked away with one of the most memorable moments of his career — receiving Messi’s match-worn shirt — which he has now passed on to Sakupwanya in fulfilment of a pledge he made earlier this year.
