Teenager-10 counts sodomy

The teenager yesterday appeared before Mr Donald Ndirowei charged with 10 counts of aggravated indecent assault and coercing or inducing persons into engaging in illicit sexual conduct.

Mr Ndirowei remanded him in custody to April 2 for trial.

Prosecutor Mr Arnold Sakuinje alleges that sometime in December 2009, the accused saw three boys, including the 12-year-old who was later sodomised by eight others, and took them into a room where he sodomised them.

After the act, it is alleged he gave US$5 to the 13-year-old and R5 each to the other two boys before releasing them.

It is alleged that sometime in December last year, the suspect called another 16-year-old while he was playing soccer before ordering him to sodomise the 12-year-old victim.

He is reported to have later called seven other boys aged between eight and 12 and ordered them to take turns to sodomise the same boy.

It is alleged he ordered the victims not to tell anyone about the offence before threatening them with death.
The matter came to light when one of the boys informed his mother.
A report was then made to the police leading to the arrest of the teenager.
