NYASHA Manzou (18) is working to reshape the conversation around menstrual health with her “Bleed with Pride” movement.

She has created a WhatsApp talk show that aims to break the stigma around menstruation.

Her goal is to establish a safe and inclusive space that promotes mutual learning and growth.

The talk show aims to educate men, foster understanding and empathy towards women during their periods.

“Guest speakers, with expertise in the field, contribute to the discussions.

“The theme ‘Bleed with Pride’ signifies our commitment to establishing a safe and inclusive space where individuals, regardless of language or background, can engage in open conversations about menstruation.

“Our goal is to facilitate mutual learning and growth,” said Nyasha.

She also envisions transforming the initiative into a TV show that advocates for policies supporting menstrual health and women’s rights.

“I advocate for policies supporting menstrual health, such as access to affordable menstrual products and free pads for the less privileged and disabled.

“Our impact extends beyond women to entire communities.”

Nyasha has already made an impact by raising and donating pads to a home in honour of International Menstrual Hygiene Day last year and has won an Ignite Youth Award for the Girl Empowerment category.
