Telecel adds free data to Mega Juice card

airtime.
That means that for one dollar, a Mega Juice card gives one dollar’s ordinary airtime, one dollar’s bonus airtime and one dollar’s worth of data, which amounts to 10 megabytes of data.

The introduction of free data as part of the Mega Juice card package coincides with a change in the way in which Mega Juice bonus airtime is accessed.
Previously, all calls to Telecel numbers using the Mega Juice Card were made using the bonus airtime, with calls to other networks being made with the ordinary airtime.

Only when the bonus airtime was exhausted were Telecel calls made with the ordinary airtime.
The change, which a Telecel spokesperson said had been necessitated by interconnection charges, is that all calls, including Telecel calls, are now made with the ordinary airtime, with the bonus airtime only coming into play for calls to Telecel numbers when the ordinary airtime has been exhausted.

Telecel has also introduced higher denomination US$10 and US$20 standard recharge cards with long window periods.

It has increased the window periods of some of its lower denomination cards. The new US$20 and US$10 cards both have 180-day window periods. The window period for the five dollars recharge card has been increased from 75 days to 90 days. The US$2 card has a window validity period of 30 days.
The window period for the one dollar card remains at 15 days.
