ONE of the leading telecoms service providers, Telecel has launched a SIM card re-activation promotion.
The promotion is in response to a huge number of subscribers who had their lines suspended or completely disconnected. The promotion covers people who have not used their SIM cards between 5 July 2012 and 4 May 2013 and will run for 28 days.
In an interview yesterday, Telecel Southern Region manager Mr Nelson Chipangamhate said the promotion would do way with the need for the company to add new SIM cards to its network.
“The organisation does not have to incur expenses in trying to introduce new SIM cards, instead an individual can reactive the old one,” he said.
Mr Chipangamhate said reactivated SIM cards did not have to be registered again.
