Fixed telecommunications operator TelOne has invested close to $2 million on a project to develop its service centres into one stop convenient shops, managing director Mrs Chipo Mtasa said. She told New Ziana that at least 50 such shops would be opened throughout the country.The company on Thursday opened the first One Stop Shop at the Westgate Shopping Mall in the capital.
“We invested just below $2 million dollars in this project and this will involve several other shops in the CBD, Chitungwiza and other areas nationwide,” said Mrs Mtasa.
She said in the shops, clients could pay bills, report faults as well as purchase latest telecommunications gadgets.
Mrs Mtasa said the decision to set up the shops was part of company efforts to bring its services closer to customers.
“We agreed that TelOne should be closer to its clients where everything will be monitored and recorded from here,” she said.
Mrs Mtasa said TelOne was moving along with technological advancements and would be selling state of the art gadgets in the One Stop shops. – New Ziana.
