TENACIOUS TRIANGLE IMPRESS IN DRAW

LLOYD Mutasa said his men were careless in defence as MWOS twice surrendered a two-goal lead for a share of the spoils at Gibbo yesterday.

“We were a bit careless in defence today but I liked the fighting spirit from the boys. It was not one of our best performances but coming here and getting a draw, I can only appreciate the work done by the youngsters.

We go back to the drawing board as we prepare for our next fixture against CAPS United,” said Mutasa.

Triangle coach Genesis Mangombe was happy with the way his team played.

“They played according to our plan. What we don’t like is the way we conceded the goals but it’s a game of football and our focus is on our next assignment to Kwekwe.

“The international break was good for us because we had enough time to correct some of the mistakes as well as trying new things and it worked today but for us it’s two points dropped today,” said Mangombe.

The hosts twice came from behind to hold MWOS, who are unbeaten this season.

The home side missed some chances and fell behind when Innocent Zambezi’s diagonal pass was controlled and converted with precision by Nigel Matinha.

On the verge of half-time captain Thabani Kamusoko’s free-kick was met by Witness Shave who scored.

Mathew Murambiwa put MWOS ahead again just two minutes into the second half.

Man-of-the-match Tawanda Denzel Chatuluka danced his way past the MOWS defence before shooting straight at Martin Mapisa who could not stop the ball from going home.

Triangle grew in confidence as they dominated the log leaders and with a bit of luck could have taken the lead in the 85th minute but Kamusoko’s goal-bound effort was deflected for a corner kick.
