A TENANT was dragged to court by his landlord for disturbing his business.

Rufaro Matora applied for a peace order against his tenant, Tafadzwa Chemo, at the Harare Civil Court.

Rufaro told the court that he is the landlord of a bottle store which they share with Tafadzwa.

‘‘This man no longer respects that I am his landlord. He rents the other side of my bottle store, but he serves his customers using my side of the shop. Asingade kuita mari ndiani.

‘‘I tried to reprimand him to serve from his side only, but he doesn’t listen,” said Rufaro.

In his defence, Tafadzwa disputed the allegations.

‘‘He is a liar. The misunderstanding started after he tried to evict me without notice. Ndakatoramba kudzingwa ndotoziya mutemo manje.

‘‘He realised that I am making more money than him and that is why he wants to evict me from the bottle store,’’ he said.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi postponed the matter to today for ruling.
