Two men were denied bail when they appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi facing allegations of theft of a motorcycle.

Emmanuel Mujawo, 38, and Tafara Mafuratidze, 22, were not asked to plead when they appeared in court. They will be back in court today for their bail ruling.

It is alleged that on JanuaAry 29, Mujawo and Mafuratidze went to the complainant’s house and stole the motorcycle which was parked outside and went away unnoticed.

Unbeknown to them, the motorcycle was fitted with a tracker.

The following day, detectives tracked down the motorcycle and located it at Kopje leading to the arrest of duo.

The duo, however, denied ever stealing the motorcycle.

“These two are mechanics specialising in repairing motorbikes and this particular motorbike was brought to them for the same service,” their defence counsel said.
