A HARARE Sports Club tennis coach, Moses Chikodzi, appeared in court on indecent assault charges.

Chikodzi was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Noticia Shenje yesterday.

The court heard that in August last year, the complainant, a seven-year-old, was doing tennis lessons with her twin brother, on Saturdays.

It is alleged that on one occasion, Chikodzi took the minor to Court O, out of view of anyone, and touched her in-between her legs.

On another occasion, the coach allegedly lifted the minor and molested her again on her private parts, without removing her clothes.

She screamed, drawing her twin brother’s attention.

It is alleged that on another Saturday in September, he took the girl to a kiosk, where he fondled her private parts, and scratched her with his finger nails, hurting her in the process.
