United Kingdom-bound gospel artiste Lloyd Tevedzai is riding high with his nine-track album titled “Nzvimbo Yenyu”. The latest release is likely to cause waves on the airwaves due to its rich lyrical content and arrangement.Opening with a praise song, “Hakuna Rimwe Zita” featuring Patie Masiyambiri and Jacquie Mapundu, the album is pregnant with mature lyrics.
This is an indication that the young man has gone a notch up as compared to his previous projects.
“The album is an inspiration. Listening to the second track called ‘Nzvimbo Yenyu’, one can appreciate that I gave my all to God,” said Tevedzai.
Some tracks worth listening to include “There is a Reason”, “Zviratidze”, “Hakuna Chombo”, “Nguva YaMwari”, “Inzwa Inzwi” featuring Rumbie Zvirikuzhe, “NdiJeso” and a bonus track “Tichazofara Naye” featuring Bethen Pasinawako.
Tevedzai said he was elated to have released his third album before Christmas.
“What I can assure my fans is I’m preaching the gospel through music. As of now, my music has matured in terms of quality, sound and lyrical content,” he said.
The 26-year-old musician also said plans were afoot to release a DVD.
“After the UK tour, I will start working on the DVD. My fans are assured to get a copy of the album since I am going to embark on a countrywide tour,” said Tevedzai.
Tevedzai is not new on the music scene having performed alongside renowned gospel artistes from Zimbabwe and South Africa.
