YOUNG up-and-coming rappers in the city recently showed that they mean business when they set the ball rolling at the Bulawayo Public Library where they performed at a show dubbed The 4-4 show.
Performers included CTL who opened up the floor followed by Brintz, Indigo Saint and Rockie DoUb before Luminous closed up the performances.
Artistes from the Bulawayo music corridors took time to support their own and these included Rizzla, T1NDA, MUSE, Fish F Ndaramu, Tebza, Biko and Lord Skeelz.
The brains behind the gig, Luminous said he came up with the concept so as to uplift local talent.
Luminous said they desire to own their platforms by building a core fan base that will help sustain their careers outside the Industry circles.
“This in the long run will give us leverage when we finally pop up on the corporate and promoter’s radar because the fans would have spun up their value/worth as brands.
“The show was one of the first bricks. As a team we’re laying a foundation as we attempt to build Rome. Everyone is pulling their weight with no external funding,” said Luminous. – @mthabisi_mthire
