2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), (fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs), but be transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewal of your mind (by its new ideals and its new attitude), so that you may prove (for yourselves) what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect (in His sight for you). There are two words that are here, “transform” and “conform.” They have one common word, “form” but the prefix is different, there is a “con” and a “trans”. Conforming is assuming the form of an object. When you are pouring water into a bottle, the water contained in the bottle takes/ assumes the shape of that bottle. The Bible says do not be conformed to the patterns of the world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
This means that you are empowered to transform!
Be bold enough to challenge the world systems that are wrong. For you to have transforming power you must increase in temperature spiritually. You must be heated up to a point where you will be boiling with the zeal of the things of God to an extent you cannot see evil in front of you and keep quiet. The anointing of God increases your spiritual temperature and it has transformative power. God wants you to know his will and the will that is acceptable is for you to have a renewed mind.
If you are anointed, you can change the shape of any organisation, nation or continent. The Bible says “you must be the salt of the earth, but what shall be done when the salt loses its taste? You do not put a burning lamp under a table; you place it on the table.” Which means that as a Christian, when you meet someone without the light they must not try to interpret your light.
You must be a radical type of a Christian, effect change wherever you go, do not allow a heathen or non-believer to criticise your doctrine or way of life. Rather defend and enlighten them so you can help them because you are at a better position than them.
You must be the one to show them the light. You must be anointed first for you to effectively show the light of God in order to free them.
