The Big Chill thrills

station, Star FM.

The party brought together Harare’s top celebrities and trendsetters on one dance floor with amazing performances by youthful musicians as well as serious partying with Star FM DJs.

From the station’s general manager, Admire Taderera, to Innocent Tshuma, Richard Kohola, “The Breeze” duo of Iyati and Grace the Soul Sister, Napster the radio master, to newscaster Itai Mutinhiri and others were all there mingling with the beautiful crowd.

Poor PA System

Like the previous editions of the Big Chill, the party had lots in store for revellers including guest appearances by Cindy, J Boss and others who took turns to wow the crowd.

The only problem was the poor PA system which disrupted the merry mood especially when Star FM’s turntablist and Drive Time Show presenter Otis “The Flow” Fraser was behind the decks.

When he took to the decks, “The Flow” revved up the huge audience with some serious sing-along club bangers from way back in time. It was a pity that he ended his session prematurely although most people wanted more from him.

Cindy’s performance was on point while J Boss’ act turned out to be a big yawn. Yes, you could see that he was enjoying himself, but he didn’t move the crowd. Quite honestly, he reminds many of that horrible and annoying character called Ambivalence.

For some obscure reason J Boss is overrated. That said, the Big Chill is growing in popularity and fans were pleased to be served with coffee to ward off the cold and delicious meals. There was excellent service at the bars while the music was soothing.
