JAMAICAN reggae star, Chris Martin, is expected in the country today ahead of Freeman’s David and Goliath album launch.
Chris Martin is set to make a special guest appearance on Saturday at the HKD boss’ album launch slated for Alexandra Sports Club.
Hatipfeke Junk and Nash TV are behind the potentially-exciting event that also features an array of artists like Baba Harare, Mbeu, Bazooker, Pumacol, Kikky, Nyasha David, Trevor Dongo and Leo Maggoz.
David and Goliath is Freeman’s 12th studio album.
The album carries 13 tracks and features the likes of Chris Martin, Poptain, Nyasha David, on some of the tracks.
Speaking to H Metro, Freeman’s manager, Watson Kafela, said preparations for the event were well on course.
“We are getting geared for the big day (Saturday) when Freeman launches his new album.
“We are expecting Chris Martin tomorrow (today).
“All other acts in the line-up are confirmed and we are just looking forward to a great show on the day,” he said.
Speaking about the album, Kafela said:
“I don’t want to say much about the album but people should expect good music and surprises.
“I am sure it’s something Freeman fans and general music lovers are going to like.
“I just urge people to come to the show and listen for themselves.”
In the last few years, Freeman has released other albums like Top Striker, Varidzi Vezvinhu, Freeman and Friends Gango, to mention but a few.
