THE Covid-19 pandemic had diminished students’ zeal for learning.
However, the situation has tremendously improved compared to the first two years of the pandemic.
Hope has now been restored as Covid-19-related cases have dropped. The situation looks stable. I am an Ordinary Level candidate and I never suspended my studies. When schools closed, I embarked on holiday studies.
This term, preparations for the final examinations have begun in earnest. To avoid disappointment, I will ensure my pending continuous assessment learning activities are in by the end of the week.
I have to be at my best. My parents bought me stationery that I will use in preparing for the crucial exams.
Listing down difficult questions is another form of preparation that I am undertaking. I am doing this so that I can get assistance from my teachers.
It is now or never.
What a better time to realise that the third term may be just two thirds of the normal term! I should, therefore, not waste time. I should gear up for long nights of study for we are now on the home stretch.
The two years I have been pursuing O-Level studies should not go to waste.
I am consistently checking my timetable and doing the necessary revision. I do not want to be caught off-guard when we get to the exams.
I have a notebook full of exercises for group discussions. Preparations will go on until the final day. I have two piles of revision books, from Form One up to Form Four. One pile is for day studies and the other for the time I will be night riding.
I will continue to make the most of the available time.
