IT’S another midweek party for the colourful Simba Bhora fans when the newboys host Green Fuel in a Castle Lager Premiership match at the National Sports Stadium this afternoon.
The homeless Shamva side have brought some colour to matches at the giant stadium with their merry band of fans.
And, the party is expected to continue today when Simba Bhora return to the stadium which has become their temporary home.
The visitors will have new coach, Rodwell Dhlakama, leading them.It has been a disastrous start for the Ethanol Boys who have racked two points in six fixtures.
Skipper Obey Mwerahari has conceded that the players are not happy with their form but things could turn around very quickly.
“We have gone through a lot and as players we take the blame for what is happening at the club.
“We have been losing concentration in critical moments and it’s something that we really need to improve as players if we are entertaining any hopes of turning the tables.
“As players, we are not happy with how we have been performing and I believe it’s now high time that we fight for the club,” said Mwerahari.
He captained this team to earn their PSL status and was a key figure in the defence which conceded five times all season.
“The coach has been telling us to up our game and he has emphasised the need for us to regain our confidence levels.
“He had instilled confidence by telling everyone that we are not a bad side but it’s the mentality and the morale which is down.
“The players are in high spirits and everyone is fighting to prove his worth to the coach and I believe it’s going to help us collect our first set of full points against Simba Bhora today.”
Simba Bhora will be hoping to compound the misery by extending their unbeaten streak to five games.
They lost their two opening fixtures against FC Platinum and Chicken Inn.
They sit ninth on the Castle Lager Premiership table.
