With Farai
How are you guys? I guess you are enjoying your Saturday. You know what they say, ‘yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift.’ So make sure you enjoy every day of your life. Well, before I break the egg and get into the yolk, let me just tell you this short story.
There was a girl named Jessie, who was so beautiful and wonderful.
As she grew up into a teenager most guys would ask her out, but she always turned them down.
She told her mum how this really affected her and she jokingly said that she was not going to marry since most boys liked her.
She would come back home bragging that she was not going to marry.
Time flew and she reached the age where she was now expected to be married.
Some men who used to like her before, no longer did, even though she was still beautiful.
She went out on several dates but not even one of the men dared to propose her.
She was getting desperate but no man seemed interested in marrying her.
One day she came home crying, and she told her mum how badly she wanted to be married.
Her mum had a retentive memory, and reminded her of how she used to speak negatively about getting married.
Jessie then realised that her past words were now backfiring, and then she decided to overcome evil with good, by speaking good things about her marriage.
Every morning before she went out of the house, she could look in the mirror and say, ‘I am going to be married to a good man …’from that day, things changed.
She met the man of her dreams and finally got married.
WOW, what a story hey…The reason why the girl in the story could not get married at first, was all because of her past WORDS.
Things changed when she started to speak good words.
Words are powerful and really affect our lives.
I would like to quote a verse in the bible, that is Proverbs 18vs21 which says, ‘death or life are in the power of the tongue …’which means either you are speaking life to yourself or you destroying your future.
Decide to speak good words about your life despite the circumstances you face. Some really do not believe this but it actually helps.
Words are like seeds which produce fruits. Refuse to speak bad about yourself buddies.
I know a famous rich man who is alive today, his history tells you that before he was rich, he could see himself in the mirror and say, ‘I AM RICH’, and now, he is surely affluent.
From now on, speak words that are constructive and not destructive; always be optimistic and not pessimistic.
That’s it for today folks, Farai … out
