The return of Gushungo

Talented traditional musician, Gushungo, returns to Mutare at his favourite hunting ground for yet another dance with his legion of fans at the watering hole situated in the city centre.

 

The musician will perform from today (Friday) till Sunday.

 

The singer, who usually leaves revellers in a trance, will be backed by the new-look Scatter Band.

 

He is popular for songs such as Mamoyo, Tinongochema and Tamba.

 

The shows start at 8pm.

Chitsa Bar and Grill

Local traditional ensemble, NtswaiNtswai, is back at the entertainment joint situated in Dangamvura.

 

The group will headline the Sunday live band session.

 

They will jump on stage at 4pm.

 

DJs Wizzy and Spillz will take turns to entertain patrons on the turntables.

Micasa

As revellers gear up for the return of English Premier League soccer fiesta, DJs Frazer and Terminator will this weekend churn out a blend of new and old beats till the last man drops. Jazz crooner, Steve Chikotie headlines this Sunday’s jazz night which starts at 5pm.

 

The packed week-long entertainment itinerary starts with a ‘MaRasta Wednesday’, a night dedicated to reggae fanatics where a live band, Just Friends entertain revellers.

Madziro Bar

Veteran deejay, Candyman, fondly known as the Retro Don, entertain old and new patrons at the entertainment joint situated along the Mutare-Chimanimani Highway.

 

The open air area will be lit as from 2pm till the last man drops.

Showgrounds Casino

The entertainment joint, popular for gaming and unwinding all week through, offers a variety of slot machines and live table games such as Blackjack, Roulette and Varyjack.

 

While the slot machines come in various themes, gamers are treated to classic music as well as ice cold beer and snacks.

Acid Bar

Youthful DJ Yala, who is popular among music lovers in Chikanga, will entertain fun lovers in the ghetto with an assortment of music this weekend.

 

He is expected to provide musical therapy to home team, Acid Pool Club and their fans.
