‘The Way We Were’ comes to Reps

well-known numbers from shows as varied as “Mary Poppins” and “Shrek” and “My Fair Lady” and “Top Gun”.
Performing the songs will be a number of Reps’ most popular performers, including Mande Snyman, Dean Jones, David Bvumbe, Collina Mvududu, Christina Jenkins,

Luke Ballantyne, Stephane Thomas, Munya Gurumatunhu, Rowland Amm, Tanaka Vengere, Cathrine Chidawanyika and Cara Amm.
Interspersed with the songs will be some dance numbers, presented by Adam Finnegan and Courtney Neilsen.

The show has a short run, with performances tomorrow (7pm) and Saturday September 1 (2.30pm and 7pm), advance booking for which is open at The Spotlight booking office in the Reps foyer.

“The show will appeal to all ages because the music from many movies and stage productions is timeless and fun, so our singers will present music that is both popular and entertaining,” said director Stan Higgins.

“It is being staged towards the end of the school holidays and ahead of our next production at Reps, which is William Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar”, a serious work that is being put on as it is an O-Level set book this year. So ‘The Way We Were’ will have light appeal ahead of this more serious production.”
