There is always a man of the moment

life has to be explored and lived. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

From this passage of the scripture we can actually see that life is designed in such a way that there is a time for everything to happen and to take its course. There is a time to win and there is also a time to lose.

There is a time to amass and there is a time to de-accumulate. Also there is a time to rule and a time to submit to another one ruling.

Time carries the events of this life which only unfolds when the time is ripe and is in its fullness.
There is a time to open a mouth and comment against what you don’t know and there is a time when the unknown will fire back at you, under the heaven there is time for everything.

By living a life, one is actually entering into a journey that the Almighty God had fore-planned according to His design and purposes. As a son of a prophet, in this article, let me take this opportunity to share with you what the Lord had made available to me through the wisdom of my spiritual father Prophet Makandiwa.

Deutoronomy 29:29 says the secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

What God made available to us that is what we can only have, but if He chooses not to grant us access to certain things, they will remain unknown and a mystery. There are the days of hunger and famine, the years of locusts and grasshopers. There are also the years of bumper harvests and plenty.

There are even the years and days which are notable and outstanding because they are marked and characterised by some individuals. We have the days of Tshaka the Zulu, the days of Pharaoh, the days of Herod the Great, the days of Prophet Elijah, Isaiah, Abraham, even the days of Adolf Hitler.

We have treasures of great memories of some great people who actually owned and seized the days in their lifetime.

Under the heaven as time goes by, it unfolds events and ushers people of both significance and non-significance.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12). From this passage of the scripture, we can see that Jesus is acknowledging that during that time, the days belonged to John the Baptist until a certain time.

John had days. People of that dispensation were actually living in the days of John. What it means is that during those days John was at the centre of attraction and he was actually the talk of the town.
The whole lot of God’s attention was on John. All the people of the society who would want to hear from God were supposed to listen to John.

Those who would want to learn the lessons of life and who would want to know the mind and the will of God were supposed to look up to John during his days. John was their compass. Synagogues and churches were supposed to follow, listen and adhere to the gospel of John the Baptist in his days.

Remember in the book of John 1:6, it was said, John the Baptist was a man sent from God. A man sent to meet God’s people to give them guidance and direction. It was as if John had rebelled from his father’s church and started his own church.

He moved out of their synagogues and pitched a tent in the wilderness (City Sports Centre). A lot of folks had to follow John to his wilderness church out of their ancient synagogues. When revival comes to town a lot of folks would be seen flowing from the mainline churches following the revivalist.

A man of the moment, a prophet of the time, a man sent from God to herald the events that characterise the soon coming Messiah Jesus.

John’s way of dressing and eating offended a lot of folks. What he drives and even his gospel was considered to be heresy. They didn’t believe in him yet he was a man sent from God.

The way John ran his life confused a lot of folks, yet what they didn’t know was that a prophet is a mystery.

Some swore they would never get to John’s church only to find themselves there after the turbulences of life had gotten to them. John in those days could be seen with ushers around him that looked like bodyguards.

They had to usher him because he had the biggest congregation during his days. How could you expect a revivalist who has a following of 65 000 attendees in one church service not to have ushers around him?

Because of virtue coming out of the revivalist every folk would want to touch him believing God for their breakthroughs! So order is required.

John had disciples to escort him so was Jesus. Herod could not understand John, even the Messiah Jesus; he thought they are coming in to replace him not knowing that their kingdoms and assignments were totally different.

There are no days under the sun which are not characterised by events and individuals whom God will be using as His instruments to showcase His powers and abilities.

Today in UFIC, we are living in somebody’s days. The days of Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa whom the Lord had chosen to guide us in times like this.

Revival has come to Zimbabwe, bereka mwana tiende! We are living in the hour of grace. God had remembered us.

John was rejected by his own in his days, so was Jesus our master. Even today the trend goes own. Usafunga kuti ukaramba mukadzi hakuna kumwe kwaanodiwa.

The Lord surely had remembered us. Times of refreshment has surely come. The hour of hope.
Welcome hope, welcome freedom, welcome the prophet of our time.

The eye of the Lord is upon our land and surely the Lord had spoken. We are privileged to have the calibre of the leadership we have in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is the safest haven on this planet. May we continue to pray for the leadership of this nation alongside Prophet Makandiwa.

Wish you a merry Christmas and a happy prosperous 2013.
