There is still work to be done: Billiat

As the players last night received their US$75 000 winning bonus from Mbada Diamonds, the firm pledged to do more to help the national team qualify for the tournament which would be held in South Africa next year.
Khama Billiat: “We managed to keep sharp in front of goals and utilised the chances that came our way although we conceded an away goal but it’s part of the game. There is still a lot of work to be done — we need everyone to stand in his place.
“We still have another 90 minutes to play in Angola but I think we need to go there more focused and with all things being equal, nothing will stop us from qualifying for the Nations Cup.
“It was a great feeling scoring for my country and I would do whatever it takes to help my country qualify.”
Noel Kaseke: “We are one foot in South Africa but before we could think of that, we need to clear the hurdle at hand first.
“It’s going to be a different game altogether in Angola but we need to stay focused like we did today.
“We showed a lot of character and discipline though they pressed us in the second half.
“If we can produce the same attitude like we did today then we can qualify to Nations Cup.”
Archieford Gutu: “It’s a good result for us and we need to go there and try to get at least one goal to be safe.
“They will obviously press to turn the tables in the second leg but we just need to stay focused and play our usual game.
“Everyone needs to be prepared because this is only the first half and in Angola it will be a different ball game altogether and they will be playing in front of their home crowd.
“I felt good scoring for my country since it has been long since I scored for the senior national team but I give credit to the team and the supporters who came to rally behind us.”
Tapuwa Kapini: “It was one of our best games that we have played. I don’t think they can score three goals in their own backyard and if I am fit for the second leg we will win.
“Going into the match today I was 50-50 fit as you know my country comes first and I am very proud with the contribution that I have made in the game.
“We just need to go and finish the business in Angola but we need to stay focused and not get carried away by this result. They are a good side but as things stand at the moment we will be in South Africa next year.”
Klaus Dieter Pagels (Zifa Technical Advisor): “It is really a good result we got from this match although I think we didn’t play well in the second half.
“It is not easy now to go to Luanda to get the qualification. But in the whole match today, Angola team had a lot of chances of which if they use them back home, then I think Zimbabwe cannot win in Angola. And I hope that they (Zimbabwe) can play a little bit more aggressive to get the ball and not to only wait in the deep end. My hope is they don’t come up with so much long wide balls.”
Edzai Kasinauyo (Former Warriors midfielder): “It was a good game.
“The boys did very well. At the end of the day there is still lot of work to be done. I think we need to support the team and the young players showed how much they really wanted to win this game. It’s now history beating Angola 3-1 (yesterday) and I don’t remember seeing such a team like Angola playing so badly so we have to keep the fire burning and qualify for the 2013 Nations Cup finals.”
Bigboy Mawiwi (Harare City coach): “We are happy. It is a good result and all they (the Warriors) have to do is continue to work hard, stay focused and be solid when they travel there. Angola are good on counter-attacks and very strong but we just have to prepare well.”
Patience Khumalo (Mbada Diamonds chief executive): “We are very proud and they (the Warriors) have done the nation and us the sponsors proud. There is still a lot of work to be done but they have really improved. We are hundred percent behind them as they prepare to qualify for the African Cup of Nations finals and will continue to assist them financially so that they achieve that.”
