TICH Mataz is back and, it seems, with a big bang.
The radio star is back on South African radio after a 28-year absence.
He started his shift on Wednesday.
And, it appears, this is a different Tich Mataz. He is older, of course, and it seems he is wiser, too.
He appears to be sending some messages to his listeners, especially the younger generation.
“If I could sit across from 25-year-old Tich, here’s what I’d say,” he said in his latest post on social media.
“You don’t have to buy 25 cars to prove you’ve made it. Nobody’s counting. The people who matter will still love you in a Toyota.
“Also — call your mother more. She worries. And stop arguing with DJs about song selection.
Let them cook.
“Life is long if you’re lucky. And short if you’re not.
Enjoy the mic, enjoy the moment, but don’t forget to enjoy the silence too.
“What would you tell your younger self? drop it below. Let’s laugh together.”
Ironically, Tich Mataz invested in a fleet of cars when he first made it in South Africa before everything collapsed around him when he was deported.
So, how are his new generation of fans reacting to his latest messaging?
