Today and tomorrow there will be one showing at 5.30PM.

In an interview yesterday, Petra High School headmaster, Crispin Eley said the musical generated a lot of interest from members of the public and parents.  He said the musical was also an opportunity for the school to give back to the community.

“We have a gogos and khulus night today (yesterday) and we have invited people from Ekuphumuleni, Coronation House, Bartley Block, Savion Lodge, Masonic Cottages, Garden Park, Queen Mary and Edith Duly. We want to give them an opportunity to go out and have some fun by watching a play by the children,” said Eley.

He said the director of the musical, Margie Rees was doing a splendid job and those who come to watch will enjoy their day.

“We have the director of drama, Ms Yolanda Musa and director of music Daniel Mlambo, who are helping Margie Rees the director of the musical. The team have put together a good play for the audience to enjoy. We have had wonderful support from the staff and the parents,” said Eley.

The play was written by lower six student Stephanie Zevgolis and has Mandla Ndubiwa, Terrence Kandiado and Susannah Hill among the 80-member cast.

In the animated film Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippopotamus are still struggling to get home to New York.
This time, their journey takes them to Europe where they are relentlessly pursued by the murderous Monaco-based French Animal Control Officer Captain Chantel Dubois.

As a means of getting passage to North America, the zoo animals purchase a failing travelling circus as they become close friends, including Gia a jaguar, Vitaly a Siberian tiger and Stefano a sea lion. Together, they spectacularly revitalise the business and along the way find themselves reconsidering where their true home really is.Qui verum quid maximusdae nat.
