Popular TikToker Lonlisha Mufari has opened up about her emotional struggle to cope with the loss of her husband, Kudzai Keita, and his mother, who tragically died in a car accident in Harare last October.
Lonlisha, who was driving the car at the time of the accident, revealed her feelings of guilt and survival guilt in a recent TikTok live session.
“Survival guilt is killing me because how did I walk out of an accident that killed my husband and mother-in-law?” she sobbed.
“I now understand people that take drugs because I was in a really bad position and place in my life.”
Lonlisha confessed that she has been struggling to pick up the pieces after the accident, which has left her feeling emotionally drained.
“I’m really struggling to pick up the pieces after such a deep loss. I don’t know how to move on with my life, maybe time will heal me, but I am struggling.”
The young widow revealed that her child has been her source of strength, motivating her to keep going despite the overwhelming grief.
“If it wasn’t for my child, I don’t think I would be here. Life did not stop because I was grieving, bills still needed to be paid, my mother-in-law left kids.”
Socialite and video vixen Tariro Gezi joined the live session, offering words of comfort and encouragement.
“I am happy you have gotten the strength to talk about this publicly… You have to be strong, it’s very hard losing someone so dear to you.”
Tariro shared her own experiences with grief and healing, revealing that she had attempted to take her own life six times before finding solace in a support group.
“Grief is the process and emotions that we experience when our important relationships are significantly interrupted or ended… Find ways to help you heal.”
As Lonlisha continues to navigate her grief journey, her courageous decision to share her story publicly has sparked a wave of support and solidarity from her followers and fellow TikTokers. (H-Metro)
