become the boss of the economy around you? Let us learn from our Master and Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth about the world’s way and God’s way of prosperity — the difference between the world and the Kingdom of God.
The Gospel of Matthew 4:17 records, “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Jesus made this statement when he began His ministry. One of His words was “repent.” Repent comes from two words: “re” which means “again” and “pent” comes from the old English word “penthouse,” which means on the top. So “repent” means it’s time for you and me to get back to the top.
I am talking to you my brother and sister whom opportunities have been passing over repeatedly. It’s time you get back to the top and take dominion. The English word is actually from the Greek word “metanoeo” which means to transform one’s thought process, change one’s mind and think differently. Why do you think Jesus our Lord and Saviour wanted us to think differently?
“For the Kingdom of God is at hand.” In my view Jesus is saying “think differently, for the government of God is beginning now.” Jesus is saying the governing influence and principles of Heaven have arrived. That means you are going to have power over your environment and any intervening circumstance will be under you.
Dr Nasir Siddiki, a preacher and founder of the Wisdom Centre Ministries in Tulsa, Oklahoma made a powerful statement about kingdom and blessing. “The Kingdom is what we are to establish on the earth, while the blessing is the manner in which we establish it.” In other words the blessing is the manifestation of the kingdom on earth. Furthermore, the kingdom is where we are going.
Blessing is how we are going to get there.
The challenge that I observed within the Body of Christ is that of identification. The world has lost the revelation of God. The psalmist reminds us that, “You are gods; you are all children of the Most High. But you will die like mere mortals and fall like every other ruler.”
If you do not have a proper identification of who you are, this keeps you from enjoying the blessings of God. To bless in my mind is to say something by faith and it comes to pass. It means you are bringing something under Kingdom jurisdiction to manifest a blessing.
I am in this article delivering a package to somebody who badly needs turn around for the better. You have an Eden mandate to be fruitful and multiply (Gen 1:26). I am talking to somebody who has been a nonentity all these years that step into the realm of blessing now.
The words in Revelation 5:12 embolden me to take the Gospel of prosperity seriously.
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered — to receiver power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing” Sincerely, blessed are those who believe and have not seen. Just believe and receive your blessing in Jesus’ Mighty name.
Our Father in the Lord Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa brings it all together for me in his sermon entitled “This Life.” In this sermon he said there is a place called Blessing. One has to go there and live there permanently. He used the example of a rocket that is launched to the moon. The one who goes to the moon in a rocket has to have an oxygen tank to survive on the moon.
The important point of life Prophet Makandiwa made is that to survive one has to be in touch with the source of blessing who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Prophet Makandiwa gave an example of Elisha who went to the mountain to pray and kept his relationship with the Lord.
“You cannot survive in a land of blessing without being connected to the Lord — your source of power.”
In Acts 5, the angels appeared in prison and released the apostles and commanded them to preach the Gospel of this life. Your case can be solved no matter how difficult you think it is. You can walk out of your prison of poverty, of barrenness, of illness, of stagnation, of setback.
It is reassuring to be led out of poverty by a man who used to be in poverty. Prophet Makandiwa is a model because he preaches of things he
went through in his own life. Prophet Makandiwa read the Word and the Word — Jesus — brought prosperity to him.
Listen to the Man of God Prophet Makandiwa since he has stood in your prison of life circumstances and he is urging you to get out. Majeri eupenyu anobudika! You can leave your prison and embrace this life the Man of God is teaching about. You cannot do this alone because the
Holy Ghost releases a divine energy that enables you.
The challenge I seem to notice in the body of Christ is fear. Fear has killed many destinies. Joshua reminds us “that every place the soul of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given you, as I said unto Moses” (Joshua 1:3).
This is in the past tense. The only thing you, like the children of Israel had to do, is walk. Walking takes a lot from a human being. One has to summon energy and every ounce of strength. That is Christian walk.
Your blessing is already here. Your abundance is already here. God is not going to command it. There is no DHL service coming from heaven.
Everything you have is sitting on planet earth. Who has your blessing? Someone like the Philistines has your house, your land, your business, your marriage, your health, your car, your children, your desired breakthrough.
The painful truth is someone has things that belong to you. The moment you obey God, the blessings will come to you. Remember it is all about faith. Without faith you cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6).
God has said the moment you put your foot on the Promised Land it’s all yours. This means that it is finished work already. Your job is to take your foot and stick it over there. Just walk and claim it.
Unfortunately, many Christians have allowed some anti-prosperity pastors who have security provided by the church system who speak against the Gospel of prosperity. Some of the Children of Israel listened to an evil report from the ten spies and they never got to their land of blessing. Whose report do you believe? To whom has the Lord revealed His powerful arm? (Isaiah 53:1). I beg you beloved, do not be like the
Children of Israel who allowed a satanic policeman called fear to take them on their journey for 40 years and missed the blessing of the Promised Land. There are giants in the land of Zimbabwe in some churches who preach against prosperity because they are secured financially through the church system.
They do not like to see people moving out of poverty.
They have demonic mercy like Judas who said why use the expensive perfume on Jesus instead of selling it and giving the money to the poor? The time has come for you to cross over and go to the other side. Your blessing is on the other side of obedience. Obedience brings the blessing while disobedience cancels it. “The instruction you obey is the future you create” said Dr Nasir Siddiki.
If you want to prosper abundantly, you are going to believe the Word, obey the Holy Spirit, and sow some kind of Seed. Indeed you can be the boss in this economy.
Believe, obey and sow seed. Do not wait for the Lord to change your situation; you are the one to do it. You are the Boss in Christ Jesus.
