Legend Tina Turner (73) defied the conventional laws of ceremonial matrimony when she wore a green and black Swarovski-embroidered wedding gown for her recent nuptials to Erwin Bach in Switzerland. And hey, can’t blame her; not much about their union is unconventional! She’s an iconic trendsetting entertainer known for her glitzy ensembles (remember those sparkly-shimmy-mini-dresses?) whose courtship with Bach lasted for 27 years.
About her choice of gown for the big day, Tina told HELLO! that she fell in love with the dress while at a Giorgio Armani fashion show in Beijing: “I thought, ‘I gotta have that, even if I never wear it. Then I thought, ‘I know! That will be my wedding dress!’” she shared.
Another singer who chose the emerald hue for her wedding gown was Kelis when she married rap veteran Nas in 2005. — Singersroom.
