HERENTALS player, Tinotenda Benza is expected to complete his switch to England in the coming days where he is heading to an academy.

Benza, winner of the 2018 Most Promising Under-20 Player in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League seems to have impressed on attachment at the UK-based Future Lions Academy who appear eager to have him for a longer period.

Though yet to confirm the player’s destination, Herentals secretary Fainos Madhumbu said the club expects the move to be made official in the next three days.

“It hasn’t been officialised yet but in three days it will be made official because it is being arranged by the youth academy that he was attached to in England,” said Madhumbu.

The imminent switch has been welcomed by Herentals who recently ventured into a relationship with the UK-based academy. Herentals expect the young Benza’s move to serve as an inspiration to other players at the club.

“For the club it’s something which is great because we have been seeing potential in the young man and it’s now being confirmed by some foreign clubs, it’s something which is very motivating and even others in the team are motivated by that,” said Madhumbu.

Tino Benza is the son of Herentals owner and player, Innocent Benza.
