WARRIORS’ striker, Tino Kadewere, is set to make his La Liga debut when Real Mallorca travel to Madrid to face champions Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

Kadewere says he is looking forward to donning the red-and-black jersey in the famous stadium.

“I’m so excited and looking forward to that.

“I have been anticipating this opportunity since the day I got here.

“I haven’t been able to play for my new team because of permit issues, but all has been sorted now.

“I can’t wait to start playing for my new team,” he said.

He said Real Madrid are one of the biggest clubs and the atmosphere at the Bernabeu always shows the levels they are at.

“I can’t say much since I’m not sure if I’ll be selected to play, but all I can say is that if I’m chosen, I will be ready for the game.

“We’ve been training hard and I think everyone is good to go and wants to play in games like these.

“But like I said when I came here that I wanted to get some game time, I will work hard to make sure that I earn a place in the team.”

The striker moved to Mallorca on loan from French side Olympique Lyon to become the first Zimbabwean to join a Spanish top-flight club.

Kadewere missed last week’s 1-1 stalemate with Girona because he had not acquired a work permit.
