MALLORCA. – When RCD Mallorca announced the signing of Tino Kadewere, expectations were high.
Fast, strong and forceful, he was something that Javier Aguirre’s team did not have until the Zimbabwe striker landed on the island.
However, before the match against Real Madrid, the club announced Kadewere suffered a quadriceps injury of his right leg which prevented him from playing for his new club.
Kadwere had two choices – the first was to pass through the operating room and fix the problem quickly.
The second, which Mallorca and Olympique Lyon have finally chosen to follow, is a conservative treatment.
This means the Zimbabwean will not have surgery, for now.
Still, everything points to him not being available for duty until January next year.
Once Kadewere’s injury was known, both clubs have been in contact to agree on the best possible option.
It also means he will remain on the Spanish island, to work on his recovery, without having to undergo surgery.
His cause will be helped by the reality that Spanish La Liga will take a break, for about a month, to give way to the World Cup.
Mallorca will play a friendly today against Poblense, a TerceraRFEF team.
Aguirre, however, will be without five players who have international commitments.
They are Vedat Muriqi, Kang-In Lee, Iddrisu Baba and Leo Romn.
It will provide an opportunity for him to see those players who have had the fewest minutes in these first six LaLiga games.
They are Gio González, Braian Cufr, Lago Junior or Javi Llabrs. – cvvnews.com
