LEADING Retail shop, Pick n Pay will today (Friday) officially open its rebranded Mutare branch. Formerly TM Main Street, the supermarket has been undergoing massive renovations for close to four months to re-brand it as Pick n Pay.
The supermarket becomes the first Pick n Pay branch to be opened by the retail group in the eastern border city.
In a statement, the organisation said they forked out a “significant amount of money” to come up with a rebranded, new look state-of-art supermarket.
Situated along Herbert Chitepo Street, the store covers 3181.3 square metres with over 14 000 product lines in the store with a greater focus on fresh products, particularly in the butchery, bakery and fruit and veg segments.
“In keeping with the culture at TM Pick n Pay stores, Pick n Pay Mutare staff has undergone rigorous training to ensure that the highest standards of customer service are delivered at all times. A total of nine new jobs have been added to the very capable team headed by Artmos Maposa as the branch manager,” reads part of the statement.
Like all TM Pick n Pay Supermarkets nationwide, the Pick n Pay Mutare branch boasts of a well-stocked and spacious fresh produce section, where customers will be able to access the best farm produce Zimbabwe has to offer in line with the chain’s social drive of promoting local fresh produce.
Recently, Pick n Pay Avondale was opened in Harare in August, on the heels of Pick n Pay Sam Nujoma which was opened in April as the first Pick n Pay store in Harare CBD.
Countrywide, there are 12 Pick n Pay shops in the country with Bradfield branch in Bulawayo opened this week being the latest.
