THE Tripartite Negotiating Forum will next month host the landmark Global Summit on Inclusive Growth, Decent Work, Beneficiation and Investment Promotion in the resort City of Victoria Falls.
The TNF confirmed the development today in a statement.
“The TNF is proud to announce the TNF Global Summit 2026, to be held from 21-25 September 2026 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe,” read part of the statement.
“The landmark summit will bring together over 1,000 delegates from Government, business, labour, international social dialogue institutions/ economic and social councils, development partners, investors, academia, civil society, youth organisations and international institutions to deliberate on strategies for inclusive and sustainable economic development.”
The Summit will be held under the theme “Inclusive Growth, Decent Work, Beneficiation and Investment Promotion” and will be officially opened by President Mnangagwa.
“His participation underscores Government’s commitment to strengthening social dialogue as a catalyst for economic transformation, industrialisation, job creation and inclusive national development,” read the statement.
“The TNF Global Summit has attracted significant international interest, with more than 15 countries having already confirmed their participation.
“The Summit is expected to host senior government officials, ministers, employers’ organisations, trade union leaders, investors, development agencies, diplomats, international organisations, researchers and business executives from across Africa and beyond, making it one of the largest social dialogue and investment platforms in the region.”
The TNF said the summit has been scheduled at a critical stage in Zimbabwe’s development trajectory and aligns with the country’s Vision 2030 aspiration of attaining upper middle-income economy status and supports the implementation of the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2).
“The gathering will provide an important platform for developing practical policy solutions that promote decent work, economic competitiveness, value addition, beneficiation, investment promotion, productivity and sustainable livelihoods,” the TNF said.
“Delegates will participate in high-level plenary sessions, ministerial dialogues, policy discussions, investment forums, business-to-business engagements, exhibitions and networking events focusing on key issues such as employment creation, industrialisation, labour market transformation, digital innovation, green growth, infrastructure development, skills development, social protection and public-private partnerships.
“Beyond policy dialogue, the summit seeks to position Zimbabwe as a preferred destination for investment and trade by showcasing the country’s economic opportunities, investment climate and commitment to collaborative governance.”
The event will strengthen partnerships between Government, business and labour while creating opportunities for international cooperation, knowledge exchange and investment mobilisation.
“As Zimbabwe’s legislated platform for social dialogue, the TNF is committed to fostering consensus among Government, business and labour on economic policies that contribute to inclusive growth, industrial harmony and prosperity,” the statement further read.
