To butt or not to butt enhance, is the question

Others whisper to show that they like what they see in these heavily built women.
Even musician Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima described the women with big behinds in his song Mai Ngaa.
The truth is that each time this expression is used, men will not be undermining women – despite the fact that some women do not like that – but they will be praising women with big behinds.
Does this mean that men develop goose pimples or that they go crazy when they see women with a big behind?
Is this the kind men are looking for?
If it is true that men fall for women with big behinds, who will love the slim women?
Women know that men love women with big behinds, to what extent do they go to make sure they have one that can be appreciated by men, a behind that does not leave touts and rank marshals whistling as if they are mocking yet they will be salivating.
But, if a man comes across a woman he admires or another he does not fancy – what does he first look at?
Where does he cast his eyes first? It is said that the body part that attracts the roving male eye is the one that women are trying to enhance so that the admirer finds what he is looking for.
A survey carried out last week by our sister paper Kwayedza brought out different things.
Since some women now know that men are looking for women with huge behinds and large breasts, they are now using medicines and pills to enhance growth.
The reason is that these women simply want to attract men.
Some are drinking large proportions of pills and other concoctions to make their behinds grow bigger.
On the other hand, prohibited pills and medicines are being smuggled into the country as those who sell are enjoying brisk business.
But others are now regretting why they took these behind enhancing pills as they are now disabled due to after effects. The left buttocks and breasts of these women are now larger that those on the right side.
Different types of pills that enhance growth are now being sold all over especially in towns and cities in broad daylight.
But is it true that men want women with huge behinds? Are the men aware that our elders always say that all women are equally beautiful?
“Men should not lust after women with big behinds because everywhere we go we hear them shouting ‘chimoko ichi chakabatana uye anoita ane sele’ (this woman is very attractive, she wiggles).
“This worries some of us who are thin and we end up finding ways to be like the attractive ones,” said Dorothy Magodhi of Mbare.
She said some women are now buying breast and buttock enhancing pills like Apetito that are illegally imported from countries like Zambia, India and Mozambique.
“Yesterday I plaited the hair of a woman who confessed that she now has sleepless nights after using the pills. You will laugh or maybe sympathise with her if you see the way she now looks.
“The buttock and breast from one side of her body is now bigger than the other. She now walks sideways like a crab,” added Mugodhi.
She said this woman does not know what to do and she has sought help from apostolic faith healers, traditional healers and doctors.
Mugodhi says this woman’s clothes no longer fit properly something that did not happen before she took the pills.
“These pills, she said were sold to her by vendors at the entrance to Mupedzanhamo but when she went back after the mishap the vendors refused ever selling the pills to her saying she was not one of their customers.”
“They laughed at her,” she added.
Apart from swallowing the pills and drug to enhance the buttocks, users also insert them into their bottom.
But according to Mugodhi this gives users a lot of problems especially on their sexual organs as they may lead to incontinence or heavy odor.
Some HIV positive people are said to be mixing the pills and ARVs to enhance their bodies and prevent losing weight resulting in suitors engaging in unprotected sex.
There are also men who are said to be taking the bottom enhancing pills, with an intention to grow their buttocks but it is said they are not as many as women.
“There are men who also want to exhibit beautiful bodies. Maybe they are homosexuals.
“Maybe they want to disguise their sickness,” said one man who was selling the pills at Gulf Complex.
A number of markets across the city visited by the reporters had people selling the drugs illegally who were selling the pills known as Apetito, lightening creams such as Epidermy cream and other traditional herbs. however, this is done on the constant lookout of police as the drugs are not registered.
Mrs Joy Soko, who sells some of the pills at Market Square in Harare said the pills go for US$1 for a packet, “One takes these pills until a point when he or she gets the desired body shape. It also enhances one’s appetite.
“Even men and young people can take the pills. They can be taken by everyone, especially slim women before your husbands run away from you,” she added jokingly.
She said pills were in three regimens that are Super Apetito, Power Apetito and General Apetito producing different results.
“There are also lotions coming from Zambia that when applied to a certain position of the body, the area will bulge. The lotion can be applied to the buttocks, cheeks and breast and one only stops applying after the preferred size is achieved,” said Eustina Mabhunu.
She said some people were not happy with their body structures.
The pills and lotions have no dosage and are exposed to the harsh weather conditions, making it dangerous for those who use them.
Madzimai Naome Dekwe of the Johane Masowe sect said taking the body enhancing pills and applying lightening creams on one’s skin is a mockery to God adding that people should be grateful for the way they were created.
Sekuru Chihoro Nyango of Mhondoro said the size of buttocks has no effect on women’s body shape.
“During our time of courting we did not care about the skin colour and body structure, but heavily depended on one’s morals and family history.
“This business of considering the size of buttocks and skin complexion is for your generation.
“The size of the bottom says nothing about the women, those slim can be better performers in bed but always remember women are the same,” said Sekuru Chihoro.
He warned women to desist from taking the bottom enhancing pills saying it was important that they be content with their structures.
“One should only take pills to cure an ailment. I will not take it lightly to hear that my wife is taking the bottom enhancing pills. Sometimes these pills have side effects.
“Someone can have large buttocks but during pleasure time can be like a dead animal while the slender can be like wild animals during the act,” he added.
Mr Answermore Makate of Harare said those with big bottoms were more appealing than those of slender build.
He said: “I prefer big women. In 1995 I married two very big women but later divorced – one of them gave me a sexually transmitted disease.”
He said that these days slim women were always associated with sickness.
“Bigger woman offer great comfort and also satisfy men. How can you have a slim wife and when you are also slim? Where is the difference,” said Mr Makate a father of five.
Rita Kamwana (32) of Harare scoffed at women who take the pills saying people should be satisfied with their body structures.
“A man will still fall in love with you despite your body structure. Why should you have the biggest bottoms as if they are edible?” she asked.
Chitungwiza General Hospital chief executive officer, Dr Obadiah Moyo appealed to the public to buy drugs from registered pharmacies and only when they are prescriptions from their doctors.
“Some of the drugs could have gone past their expiry date hence it will be meaningless to buy them from the streets. People should desist from buying these drugs as a way of safeguarding their health,” he said.
