Editor — Delta Beverages (Zimbabwe) throughout its depots has maintained its product prices regardless of the current artificial shortages and have even warned their clients not to raise prices without authority from them and Government as a whole.
But HCCL, through its main Colliery club, has decided to raise the prices yet the very beneficiaries, colliery employees, their dependants and retirees, contribute monthly subs to these clubs and all along the HCCL has maintained that.
But someone for reasons best known to themselves has decided to raise prices.
Colliery employees current and ex-employees are owed a lot of money and the HCCL has failed to honour the agreed upon scheme of payment arrangements and one wonders where do they expect the same stressed employees to get the money to buy when they double the prices.
The main Colliery club has even influenced the sub clubs to raise prices of Delta products to suit their thinking.
These sub club membership also pays monthly subs to their respective clubs like Bowling etc.
May the powers that be please correct this price issue.
Do we really need the Mines Portifolio Committee let by Temba Mliswa to come down and investigate.
Enough is enough to the poor miner who has gone for years without a salary.
