Toddler drowns in a well

A 15-MONTH-OLD baby drowned after falling into a nine-metre deep open well in Epworth on Monday.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said, “The ZRP reports a sad incident in which a toddler aged one-year-three-months died after falling into an open well that is about nine metres deep at Komboniyatsva, Epworth, Harare on May 12, 2025.

“The incident occurred while the mother of the victim was performing household chores in the house and the victim was playing with other children outside.”
