Boy’s hands, feet missing

Mystery surrounds the death of a three-year-old Raffingora boy whose decomposing body was found with the hands and feet missing.
Antridge Nyere went missing from Chinomwe Farm compound last Sunday at around 3pm.
Unconfirmed reports indicate police have picked up one person for questioning in connection with the matter.
His body was found in a thicket three days later with both hands and feet chopped off.
Mashonaland West provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara, confirmed they were investigating the case.
“The mother and other villagers started looking for him the same Sunday evening but they could not find him. Further searches were conducted and they only found the mutilated body after three days. We are treating this as murder,” he said.
Some of his hair had been shaved while his skin was peeling as if he had been burnt.
The body is at Banket District Hospital for a postmortem.
Police have urged anyone with information that could lead to establishing the cause of death to contact their nearest station. — CR.
