Today marks 14 years since the death of Tongai “Dhewa” Moyo, the founder of Utakataka Express.
The sungura legend lost his battle with cancer on October 15, 2011.
He would have turned 57 this year.
As has become the norm, a series of festivities are planned to remember the late sungura game-changer.
His eldest son, Peter Moyo, has organised a series of shows to celebrate Dhewa’s legacy, starting this weekend.
In addition to Peter, Tongai Junior and Tanaka are also talented musicians who are following in their late father’s footsteps.
