Tonto Dikeh for Big Brother

The Nollywood actress has been receiving congratulatory messages and “blessings” from fellow celebrities in her country. A product of “Next Movie Star”, Tonto is known for her penchant for controversy since she hit the limelight few years ago. Last year, she sparked criticism with her “weird’’ tattoo and then claimed not to be Nigerian. Tonto continued with her “wild lifestyle’’ and at one point she crossed swords with Ghananian actress Yvonne Nelson after she allegedly “wooed’’ her boyfriend Iyanya.

Now in its eighth season, the Africa’s biggest reality show recently achieved a milestone of having more than 1 million likes on social platform, Facebook.

Zimbabwe was last year represented by musician Roki and Maneta Mazanhi, who were both booted out prematurely after a physical confrontation. Nigeria at the other end was represented by the now late Goldie Susan Harvey. It remains to be seen who will represent Zimbabwe, with personalities such as Makosi Musambasi, Pokello Nare, Dalma Chiwerera and Lady Squanda having auditioned for the annual reality show.

Makosi is appearing on the list of several other popular faces who auditioned to take part in the upcoming season eight of “Big Brother Africa”.
Makosi has been listed on the Big Brother Africa Facebook page together with Uganda’s Desire Luzinda and Jackie (Obessions), South Africa’s controversial socialite Kanyi Mbau,

Ghana’s Vera Sidika and musician Sarkodie, Nigeria’s music sensation Iyanya of “Kukere” fame and Dammy Krane, Kenya’s Shaffie Weru and Oj Oballa. According to the page, producers of the show are yet to decide on bringing back celebrity housemates. Big Brother Africa Season 8 is scheduled to start on May 26, 2013.
