ENGINEERING side, Toobs FC, are bullish ahead of the ZTN Charity Football Tournament to be held at Old Mutual Sports Club in Emerald Hill tomorrow.

The 12-team tournament will be the biggest social football fiesta in Harare at the weekend.

Pan Jap, Zimpapers, Impala, Star FM and Proton are among the teams taking part in the tourney.

The games are set to be broadcast live on DStv ZTN Prime channel 294.

Toobs representative, Mbonisi Max Sibanda, said they were looking forward to the games.

“We can’t wait for the day as we are prepared to battle it out.

“We are not yet sure who we will face, but we don’t care if it’s Pan Jap or anyone, we are ready to collect maximum points.

“The good thing about these games is they are a charity initiative.

“As a club, we have been involved in a number of charity events before and it made this one easy for us to be part of.

“Toobs Engineering is a service provider focusing on petroleum engineering and support services.

“We also understand that charity work is part of our corporate social responsibility,” he said.

Toobs are home to a number of former Premiership and Division One players.

Notable ex-professional players in their squad are Highlanders’ assistant coach, Joel Luphahla, and Muchineripi Muneri.
