TOOTHLESS DEMBARE. . . Katema has scored one goal all season. . . Defender Makarati has scored five times

DYNAMOS appear to have hit a new low in the closing stages of the Castle Lager Premiership campaign.

The Glamour(less) Boys have failed to score in their last THREE matches.

In fact, they have managed just TWO goals in their last SIX meetings.

The Glamour Boys are set to host CAPS United in their final league match at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

They stretched their goal drought last weekend when they suffered a 0-1 loss to Herentals.

There was excitement at the beginning of the season that the club had found sharp foreign strikers who would score plenty of goals.

But, towards the mid-season break, the club gave an excuse that the same strikers were out of depth.

Ghanaian import, Emmanuel Paga, is the club’s leading scorer with nine goals.

Given that he is a midfielder, it puts into context how the DeMbare out-and-out strikers have failed to hit the right notes this season.

And, it’s fair to say Martin Ofori and Alex Orotomol, have flopped.

Ralph Kawondera is five goals behind Paga and Evans Katema has just one goal to his name in this campaign.

It’s a miracle that despite being in the league’s top four, Dynamos have only scored four goals better than league anchors Whawha FC.

But, they have also excelled in keeping clean sheets.

And, it probably explains why analysts are tipping defender, Frank Makarati, and goalie, Taimon Mvula, for the league’s individual awards.

Makarati is also the club’s second leading goal scorer with five.

Perhaps, this explains how bad Dynamos strikers have been all season.

DeMbare need a complete overhaul upfront if they are planning to challenge for the title next season.

Reports suggest that almost 70 percent of the players have refused to extend their contracts.

If that happens, it means DeMbare will have to embark on another rebuilding exercise.

They have not won the league in EIGHT years.
