appeared in court charged with fraud after allegedly forging a CR14 document removing her husband Mr Brian Kashangura from the list of Brendon Security firm directors.
Mr Kashangura is also director of Forst Security (Pvt) Ltd and a former Dynamos Football Club secretary.
Asst Comm Makodza, who is based in Bulawayo, was allegedly part of the scheme to swindle Mr Kashangura of his shares in the company, which resulted in him being appointed as one of the directors to replace the businessman.
This comes after Advocate Isaiah Mureriwa of Scanlen and Holderness, who is acting for Mr Kashangura, on Wednesday applied for Asst Comm Makodza’s arrest.
Harare magistrate Ms Adonia Masawi deferred the trial to October 31 for the State to amend the indictment papers to have Asst Comm Makodza jointly charged with Gilliet and Nyamadzawo. Gilliet and Nyamadzawo are on remand but Asst Comm Makodza has not been arrested.
The State led by Mr Justin Uladi from the Attorney General’s Office says Mr Kashangura is the managing director of Forest Security.
It is alleged that sometime in March last year, Mr Kashangura came up with the idea of forming a security company that would provide security to private schools.
He registered Brendon Security on April 7 last year and a certificate of incorporation was issued on April 11 this year.
The company consisted of two shareholders, Mr Kashangura and his former wife Gilliet with 50 percent shares each.
At the same time, the company documents were kept in Mr Kashangura’s office safe at Michael House in the city centre.
In June last year, it is alleged Mr Kashangura fell sick and could not attend to his office.
Gilliet took over and acted in his capacity and attended to all issues, which required his attention hence she was in charge of the safe.
In June, Mr Kashangura received a tip-off from an anonymous caller that he had been eliminated from Brendon Security.
