Top Mzansi actress heads to Zim

AWARD-WINNING South African actress, Nombulelo Mhlongo, says she is excited to be part of the guest list at the National Merit Awards (NAMA) in Harare on Saturday.

The nominees for the 2025 NAMAs were released recently, bringing a mixed reaction from fans and stars.

The 31-year-old actress and musician from Pongola, KwaZulu Natal, who made her name on Uzalo and Durban Gen, is also an actress on etv’s Scandal where she plays MaDlomo.

She is also a choreographer, a businesswoman and Tiktoker.

Nombulelo said it will help create artistic opportunities between the two countries.

“I am excited that I have been invited by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NAC) to be a guest at the 23rd edition of the National Merit Awards

“I am praying that this opportunity further strengthens artistic collaborations between South Africa and Zimbabwe.

“This opportunity creates even more opportunities for artists on both sides of the Limpopo River.

“I am looking forward to collaborating and engaging with you all, I thank you very much,” she said.
