Today is Valentine’s Day, a day dedicated to lovers although some are of the opinion that it is much of a commercialised event.
Most streets will be adorned with roses, stunning outfits and bouquets as lovebirds showcase their public displays of affection (PDA).
The famous saxophonist, Denilson Musekiwa, has announced that he is fully booked for Valentine’s Day.
“Valentine’s Day bookings were completed in December 2024. I will be surprising loved ones at various random locations, finishing up with long dinner performances at restaurants,” he said.
Themed dinners will also occur earlier in the day, allowing couples to rekindle their romance.
For those in rocky relationships, this is the perfect time to reconnect, while individuals still searching for love may find new opportunities.
In the entertainment scene, creatives will eagerly serenade couples with top-notch performances.
Countrywide, a series of events have been lined up to mark the occasion, which is set to usher lovebirds into a bright weekend.

Known for his energy-sapping performances, the sungura ace, who boasts of a rich catalogue of love songs, will be out to preach the eternal gospel of true love in Harare.
Lady Storm is also expected to complement him.
“We are going to have fun with Baba Sharon (Macheso), and fans should come well prepared for this event,” she said.
After this affair, Macheso combines forces with Somandla “Mafia” Ndebele for another Valentine’s Day bash at Blue Ridge Restaurant along Mutoko Road tomorrow.
It will be an overdose of love songs from the two sungura legends who have nothing to prove.
For visual artists in Harare, the National Gallery of Zimbabwe is the only place to be, as local visual artists, collectors and art lovers will gather under one roof for a must-attend exhibition today.
