Total Zimbabwe extends motoring sponsorship

MOTORSPORT enthusiasts will be treated to the thrills and spills of the sport when the annual Total Zimbabwe-sponsored Peter Parnell Trophy gets underway at the Bulawayo Motorsport Park.

The race day will see 30 drivers and 10 bike riders from Zimbabwe and South Africa battling it out for honours at the motorsport venue, situated along the Victoria Falls road.

Total Zimbabwe a�� a leading petroleum products supplier a�� has pledged to continue bankrolling the annual event that draws significant numbers of spectators from all races and ages.

The winner from last yeara��s main race Mano Zevgolis will not participate this time around due to other commitments.

An interesting battle awaits the Saloon Cars Class B category pitting Calvin Radeymer, Denzil Bhana, Tyron Ferriera, Clayton Green together with new comers to the division Dareen Pragji and Wayne Jardine.

The Saloon Cars Class C will feature Mike Exton, Craig Green, Mike Laing, Alain De Jagere, Mike Bremner and Steve Murton.

The entry fee has been pegged at $5 with children under 12 years enjoying the race for free. The race organisers have partnered a local bus company to ferry spectators to the Bulawayo Motorsport Park and back into the city centre for a nominal fee.

The event will also see various activities on display including a meet and greet between members of the public and motorsport drivers as well as bikers. .
