Tottenham up for sale

It’s not been a good few days for Tottenham, with news emerging that the club is now up for sale – less than 24 hours after they suffered a setback in their plans for a new stadium. Spurs have been seen as a club on the up for a long time, but their 77-year-old owner Joe Lewis has now decided to sell up. It’s claimed that he has attached a whopping asking price of £1 billion for Spurs, which would give him significant profit on the £22 million he paid for a controlling stake in 2001. — Online
