UNITED Kingdom-based Zimbabwean gospel singer Eleana Makombe is excited to be part of the Spirit of Praise (SOP), which is expected for a tour of Zimbabwe in early October.
The tour will see artists like Benjamin Dube, Sindi Ntombela, Canaath Nyathi, Everton Mlalazi, Mpumi Mtsweni, Takie Ndou, Dumi Mkokstad, Omega, Mmtema,
The revered interdenominational gospel group has been on a tour around the globe and last year the group was in Zimbabwe for the first time after roping in of two locals Everton Mlalazi and Canaan Nyathi.
Eleana and Unveiled are part of the acts who have been added to the tour.
It will be held on October 12, at the Harare International Conference (HICC).
“This is an opportunity to market my oncoming Grateful Zimbabwe concert to be held in Harare in December.
“It will be a legends night and next week we will unveil the lineup.
“For SOP I have started rehearsing and I will be coming back to Zimbabwe end of September.”
Mlalazi also said the tour is one of a kind.
“I am a member of SOP and definitely its rep this coming October we are touring after the release of our new album this Friday.
“Three singles have already been released but the full album will be released on Friday.
“Singles released so far include Asikho isikhali (SOP feat Dumi Mkokstad), Kgosi yaruna (SOP feat Mmatema), and Ukwenzile (SOP feat Canaan Nyathi).
“The tour starts in Durban this weekend September 7 before Botswana on September 14.
“After that, we will then come to Harare and Bulawayo on October 12 and 13 then Carnival City Joburg on December 7,” he said.
