A 20-YEAR-OLD Bulawayo tout lured a 14- year-old girl who was on her way to church to his house and had sex with her twice, a magistrate heard yesterday.
Western Commonage magistrate Sibongile Msipa Marondedze heard how Tonic Moyo of Nkulumane suburb in Bulawayo had “consensual sex” with the minor while her parents looked for her. Moyo was convicted on his own plea to having sexual intercourse with a minor.
He was sentenced to two years imprisonment.
Msipa-Marondedze however suspended six months of the sentence for five years on condition that Moyo does not within that period commit a similar offence.
The remaining 18 months were suspended on condition that Moyo completes 525 hours of community service at Tshabalala Police Station.
