Touts nabbed for dangling on moving kombis

FOUR touts were arrested in the on-going police blitz against those who dangle on moving vehicles in the Harare Central Business District.

Emmanuel Nyakunzi, David Mudzamiri, Kennedy Chingwena and Tafadzwa Jeke separately appeared in the Harare Magistrates’ Court charged with touting and boarding or trailing on a moving vehicle.

They were not asked to plead to the charges by magistrate Tafadzwa Miti and were remanded to August 17 for trial.

Nyakunzi was arrested at the Seke Road Flyover, while Mudzamiri was picked up along Rezende Street.

Chingwena was spotted dangling on a car along Julius Nyerere Way.

Tafadzwa Jeke was arrested along Robert Mugabe Road in the CBD. Polite Chikiwa appeared for the State.
