Touts remanded in custody

Meanwhile, four others were on Monday fined US$40 each after they pleaded guilty to the same offence.
Failure to pay the fine would attract a 10-day jail term.

Police rounded them from January 4 to 7 this year at Makoni and various ranks in Chitungwiza. Allegations against the team arose when police officers in Chitungwiza who were patrolling different ranks saw them touting for passengers leading them to their parked commuter omnibuses.
The State led by prosecutor Mr Tendai Mukariri proved that the touts were causing annoyance and inconvenience to the public.
